WNBA: Connecticut 64, Los Angeles 51

UNCASVILLE, Conn., Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Katie Douglas scored in a game-high 22 points Tueday night as Connecticut downed the Los Angeles Sparks, 64-51.

Nykesha Sales added 16 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin had 10 points for the Sun, who have won three in a row and 5 of 6, improving to 21-6 overall.

Lisa Leslie registered a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Sparks. Mwadi Mabika and Raffaella Masciadri each added seven points for Los Angeles, which has dropped two straight. The Sparks have dropped 7 of 9 to drop to 12-14 overall.
