CLEVELAND, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Ron Belliard had a three-run double and Victor Martinez had a homer and two RBI Tuesday when the Cleveland Indians defeated the New York Yankees, 6-5.
Scott Elarton pitched six innings to help the Indians to their fourth win in five games.

Alex Rodriguez and Tino Martinez homered for the Yankees, who fell 3 1/2 games behind Boston for the top spot in the American League East.
Elarton (7-5) allowed three runs on just four hits and walked none to pick up the victory, while Bob Wickman tossed a scoreless ninth for his 28th save.
