KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- The Kansas City Chiefs Sunday signed their first-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, linebacker Derrick Johnson to a five-year contract.
Johnson was the 15th overall selection out of Texas. He was a two-time All-American with the Longhorns and played in 50 games with 458 tackles, 10 1/2 sacks and 10 interceptions.

The 6-foot-3 inch, 242-pounder finished his collegiate career with a school record 65 tackles for a loss.
The Chiefs have now reached contract agreements with all nine of their 2005 draft selections.
