PHOENIX, July 23 (UPI) -- Arizona slipped by Atlanta 6-5 Friday night on Alex Cintron's pinch-hit 10th inning home run in the first of three at Bank One Ballpark.

The Braves tied the game in the ninth, scoring four times. Cintron got his game-winning hit from Jim Brower (3-3) by smashing a 1-1 pitch down the line in right field.

Lance Cormier (6-1), pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief to take the win, halting a two-game losing streak for the Diamondbacks.

Arizona manager Bob Melvin was ejected after for arguing balls and strikes.
