Rangers get Gryboski from Braves

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 21 (UPI) -- The Texas Rangers have acquired right-hander Kevin Gryboski from Atlanta and picked up right-hander James Baldwin on waivers from Baltimore.

They also sent a minor league pitcher to the Braves.

Gryboski, 31, is 0-0 with a 2.95 ERA in 31 relief appearances this season. He was on the DL from May 7-21 with a viral infection.

Gryboski is 11-7 with a 3.32 ERA in 221 career relief appearances and is being counted on to bolster the Rangers' bullpen.

Baldwin, 34, had no won-loss record with a 1.61 ERA in 12 relief outings with Baltimore. He originally was signed to a minor league contract this spring.

Baldwin has a 79-72 career record with a 5.01 ERA in 250 games (202 starts) over 11 seasons with the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle, Minnesota, New York Mets and the Orioles.
