
MINNEAPOLIS, July 20 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Twins rallied in the bottom of the ninth inning on a wild pitch to down the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 at the Metrodome.
Jacque Jones drove in the winning run after a wild pitch by Orioles reliever B.J. Ryan allowed Joe Mauer to score the tying run.
Brian Roberts drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning with a sacrifice fly to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead, but Minnesota rallied to even the three-game series.
Jesse Crain (9-1) picked up the win, despite allowing a go-ahead run in the ninth. Twins starter Kyle Lohse was charged with two runs on 10 hits in six innings.
Minnesota starter Daniel Cabrera also allowed just two runs. Cabrera struck out seven and surrendered five hits and four walks in 5 1/3 frames.
