MLB: Minnesota 3, Baltimore 2

MINNEAPOLIS, July 20 (UPI) -- Jacque Jones hit a one-out solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday to give the Minnesota Twins a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Jones also had the game-winning RBI in Tuesday night's 3-2 victory.

Wednesday's heroics made a winner of closer Joe Nathan, 2-3, who pitched out of a two-out, two-on jam in the top of the inning.

Minnesota starter Brad Radke went seven innings and surrendered two runs and five hits, striking out five and walking none. Loser Jason Grimsley fell to 0-1. Shannon Stewart added one RBI and scored a run for the Twins.

For the Orioles, Rodrigo Lopez went 7 2/3 innings, allowing two runs and six hits with one walk and four strikeouts.

Rafael Palmeiro hit a two-run home run for the Orioles, who have dropped four of five.
