ST. LOUIS, July 16 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Cardinals got a 4-3 win over Houston Friday, with Albert Pujols getting the game-winning, two-run, 13th inning homer at Busch Stadium.

Einar Diaz and Mark Grudzielanek also homered for the red birds, who opened the second half of their season with their second straight win in the first of the three-game series at Busch Stadium. The Astros' loss snapped a three-game winning streak.

Chad Harville (0-1) suffered the loss, while Brad Thompson (1-0), earned his first career victory.
