MLB: LA Angels 3, Minnesota 2

MINNEAPOLIS, July 15 (UPI) -- Maicer Izturis hit a game-tying triple Thursday night, helping the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to a 3-2 win over Minnesota.

Winner Jarrod Washburn raised his mark to 6-4. He scattered six hits and two runs over 5 2/3 innings with one walk and four strikeouts.

Steve Finley had two hits, including an RBI double, in his return to the lineup from the DL for the AL West-leading Angels, who snapped a season-high four-game skid. Finley had missed the last 18 games because of a strained right shoulder. He was activated from the 15-day disabled list prior to the contest.

Francisco Rodriguez picked up his 18th save.

Losing pitcher Kyle Lohse (7-8) gave up seven hits and three runs in six innings, striking out two and walking three.

Jacque Jones and Lew Ford drove in the runs in the fourth inning for the Twins, who have dropped five of their last seven.
