WNBA: Washington 78, Seattle 71

SEATTLE, July 13 (UPI) -- Alana Beard and Delisha Milton-Jones combined for 30 points Wednesday as the Washington Mystics beat Seattle, 78-71.

Both players scored 15 points, Temeka Johnson had 12 and Charlotte Smith-Taylor added 11 as the Mystics, who have won six of their last eight games, completed a season sweep of Seattle.

Iziane Castro Marques scored a game-high 19 points for the Storm and Sue Bird had 16, all in the second half.

Lauren Jackson added 17 points and eight rebounds.

Washington raised its record to 9-8, as Seattle, which has lost six of seven, fell to 8-10.
