NASHVILLE, July 10 (UPI) -- NASCAR's Jamie McMurray will appear at the Autism Society of America Nashville conference marking the group's 40th anniversary.
McMurray, who has a niece with autism, will act as host of Driving Autism Awareness: A Night in Nashville -- a dinner and autograph-photo session Wednesday. The conference runs Wednesday to Friday.
The organization will honor leaders in the autism community at its Evening of Champions dinner -- including Travis LaBoy, a defensive end for the NFL Tennessee Titans; Autism Society of America founder Bernard Rimland; Pat Levitt, director of Vanderbilt University's Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development; and Art and Cherry Sellinger, owners of Long Drivers of America.
Country music star Ronnie Milsap will provide entertainment at the gala dinner Friday where the leaders will be honored.
