MLB: Pittsburgh 11, NY Mets 4

PITTSBURGH, July 9 (UPI) -- Jack Wilson hit his first grand slam during a seven-run seventh inning Saturday when the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the New York Mets, 11-4.

Wilson had three hits, five RBI and two runs scored for the Pirates, who have won five of their last seven games. Humberto Cota added three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs for Pittsburgh.

Mike Cameron and Cliff Floyd each homered for the Mets.

Pittsburgh starter Dave Williams (7-6) earned the win, giving up three runs on six hits in six innings.

Mets starter Kaz Ishii fell to 2-8.
