KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 8 (UPI) -- Joe Mauer had three hits and scored a run Friday night as Minnesota beat the Kansas City Royals, 5-4.

Winning pitcher Brad Radke (6-8) allowed four runs and nine hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and one strikeout as the Twins ended a three-game losing streak. Torri Hunter, who had one hit, now has a six-game hitting streak.

Loser Zach Greinke sank to 1-11.

Mike Sweeney went 3-for-4 with two RBI for the Royals, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Minnesota's Joe Nathan worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his 25th save.
