SAN DIEGO, July 3 (UPI) -- Khalil Greene and Brian Giles combined for seven RBI Sunday as the San Diego Padres beat San Francisco, 9-6.

Greene had two hits and four RBI. Giles had three hits and drove in three.

The Padres have won two straight and eight of 11 against the Giants this season.

Winning pitcher Tim Stauffer improved to 2-4. Trevor Hoffman recorded his 23rd save with a scoreless ninth inning.

J.T. Snow was 3-for-5 with one RBI and a run scored for the Giants, who have dropped consecutive games after winning four straight. Loser Jason Schmidt fell to 6-4.
