SAN DIEGO, July 3 (UPI) -- The San Diego Padres edged the San Francisco Giants 5-4 on Ben Johnson's two-run double in the third inning at Petco Park.

Eric Young went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Damian Jackson finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Padres, who ended a two-game slide and evened this three-game set at a game apiece.

J.T. Snow had three hits an RBI and a run scored for the Giants, who had a four-game win streak stopped.
