MLB: NY Mets 8, Philadelphia 3

NEW YORK, June 28 (UPI) -- Mike Piazza hit a two-run homer, had three RBI and scored two runs Tuesday to lead the New York Mets to an 8-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Victor Zambrano (4-6), who has allowed no more than three earned runs in any of his last 10 starts, struck out seven and surrendered four hits and three walks for the win.

David Bell drove in two runs with a homer and a single for the Phillies, who have lost five straight and 10 of their last 13 games. Jason Michaels also homered in the loss.
