ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 28 (UPI) -- John McDonald singled home a run in the top of the 11th innings Tuesday night as the Toronto Blue Jays took a 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Aaron Hill started the 11th for the Blue Jays with a single and took second on Ken Huckaby's sacrifice bunt. Frank Menechino then grounded out to move Hill to third before Orlando Hudson was intentionally walked by Doug Waechter (3-6). McDonald followed with his single to shortstop Julio Lugo and Hill came across home to put Toronto ahead 2-1.

Reed Johnson's base hit in the next at-bat made it a two-run contest. Miguel Batista (4-0) set down Tampa Bay in order in the bottom of the inning for the win.

Roy Halladay went nine innings for the Blue Jays, yielding one run on seven hits and a walk. Scott Kazmir worked 6 1/3 frames for the Devil Rays, giving up one run on six hits.
