MLB: LA Angels of Anaheim 3, Dodgers 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 26 (UPI) -- Orlando Cabrera hit a key two-run double to help the LA Angels of Anaheim to a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Rookie Ervin Santana (2-2) allowed one run and struck out seven over 6 2/3 innings to pitch the Angels to their fifth consecutive victory at Angels Stadium. The 22-year-old scattered seven hits and walked just one. Scot Shields and Francisco Rodriguez protected the lead the rest of the way, with Rodriguez tossing a scoreless ninth to earn his 13th save.

Brad Penny (3-5) yielded four hits, all during the three-run third inning, which put the Angels on top to stay.
