MLB: Tampa Bay 9, N.Y. Yankees 4

NEW YORK, June 23 (UPI) -- Jorge Cantu homered twice and knocked in a four runs Thursday night as Tampa Bay beat the New York Yankees, 9-4.

Cantu went 3-for-5 as the Devil Rays took their third win in the four-game series, improving to 7-3 against the Yankees this season.

Winning pitcher Mark Hendrickson raised his record to 3-4. He surrendered four runs and nine hits in 7 2/3 innings with one walk and one strikeout.

Loser Chien-Ming Wang sank to 4-3.

Bernie Williams homered and had two RBI for New York, which has dropped three of four following a six-game winning streak.
