Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., June 14 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Vikings have been officially sold to a group headed by New Jersey real estate developer Zygmunt Wilf for $600 million.
The group closed the deal with Red McCombs late Monday evening. The closing was only a formality since NFL owners approved the sale on May 25.
Wilf became the general partner of a group that had initially been led by Arizona businessman Reggie Fowler, who would have become the first African-American majority owner in NFL history.
Fowler and McCombs announced an agreement on Feb. 14. But concerns over Fowler's finances caused the organizational change. Fowler will still be part of the ownership group.
Wilf has said that he will keep the Vikings in Minnesota.
