Steelers' Hoke gets contract extension

PITTSBURGH, June 9 (UPI) -- Defensive tackle Chris Hoke of the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday signed a two-year contract extension with the NFL team.

No contract details were disclosed.

Hoke is about to enter his fifth season and had his best year as a pro in 2004, filling in for Pro Bowl lineman Casey Hampton who suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Hoke recorded 27 tackles, including 20 solo, and two sacks. He was an undrafted free agent out of Brigham Young in 2001.
