Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PHILADELPHIA, June 7 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia 76ers got a second-round pick in the 2005 NBA Draft from the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, then traded that pick to Detroit.
In exchange for the 60th overall pick, Philadelphia will give Utah a future second-round pick.
With the move, Philadelphia completed a trade made in 1997 when the 76ersy acquired Theo Ratliff and Aaron McKie for Jerry Stackhouse and Eric Montross.
The 76ers had until June 12 to give a second-round pick to the Pistons or give up their No. 45 selection.
Philadelphia has no first-round pick this year. It belongs to Denver because of a three-team deal in 2003 when the 76ers got Kenny Thomas.
