ST. LOUIS, June 7 (UPI) -- St. Louis Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce Tuesday was cleared to resume football activities despite a rapid heartbeat.
When the Rams began a two-day mini-camp last Friday, he was kept from participating after it was discovered during a mandatory routine physical that the veteran wide-out had a heart abnormality.

Team doctors said he had a heartbeat that was a "little faster than normal." But there were no other symptoms of any problems with the heart, and the 11-year veteran felt fine running and going through his normal workouts.
In his career, the former University of Memphis star has 777 receptions for 11,753 yards and 74 touchdowns.
