POLK CITY, Iowa, June 4 (UPI) -- Mike Reid, a major winner last week, shot a 5-under 66 Saturday for a 135 and a two-stroke lead after the second-round of the Allianz Championship.

First-roundt co-leader Tom Jenkins shot a 72 in the second round and is tied for second place at 137 with Bruce Fleisher (70), Bob Gilder (66) and Morris Hatalsky (67).

Reid, 50, trailed Jerry Pate by three shots on last week's 72nd hole. He eagled and when Pate made bogey, Reid got into a playoff where he won his first Champions Tour major.

"I was a little concerned coming into this week that I wouldn't be focused," said Reid. "I knew I've been playing well. Once I got a few holes in on Friday, I found myself focusing."

Defending champion D.A. Weibring shot a 67 and is tied for sixth place with Gil Morgan (67), Mike McCullough (68) and James Mason (69) at 138.
