NBA suspends George Karl

NEW YORK, June 3 (UPI) -- The NBA announced Friday that Denver Nuggets Coach George Karl has been suspended for the first three games of next season for violating league rules.

The league alleged that Karl attended several workouts at Marquette University and made contact with a player not eligible for the NBA draft. The workouts were held May 16-18.
