OAKLAND, Calif., June 1 (UPI) -- Eric Byrnes went three for four and drove in four runs Wednesday night as Oakland clubbed Tampa Bay, 11-2.
Byrnes singled in a run in the first, tripled in two more in the second and doubled home one in the sixth.

Barry Zito (2-6) picked up the victory by allowing a run on five hits over seven innings.
The loss went to Mark Hendrickson (2-3), who gave up 12 hits and eight runs in 5 1/3. Byrnes' triple in the second highlighted a six-run inning that broke open the game early.
