
LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) -- The Chicago Cubs earned a three-game sweep over the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 9-5 win, driven by Derrek Lee, who went 5-for-5.
Lee capped his perfect night with his National League-leading 17th home run of the season -- a three-run shot. He drove in a total of four runs while Neifi Perez went 4-for-5 with a three-run homer for the streaking Cubs, who won their season-high sixth straight. Todd Walker added two hits, including an RBI double.
For the Dodgers, Olmedo Saenz hit a two-run homer and Jason Phillips added a solo shot.
Cubs starter John Koronka (1-0), who was making his major-league debut after being recalled from Triple-A Iowa earlier in the day, allowed three runs on six hits in five innings.
Los Angeles starter Derek Lowe (4-5) got tagged with the loss after surrendering six runs in 5 2/3 innings. He allowed 13 hits with one walk, while fanning three.
