CHICAGO, June 1 (UPI) -- Dallas McPherson went two for four with a homer and three RBI Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Angels outslugged the Chicago White Sox, 10-7.
The Angels also got two RBI each from Bengie Molina, Orlando Cabrera and Adam Kennedy while moving back into a tie for first place with Texas in the American League West. Los Angeles erased a 5-4 deficit with a four-run seventh with McPherson's double driving in the go-ahead run.
Paul Byrd (5-4) lasted long enough for the victory, giving up five runs on six hits in six innings. Kevin Walker (0-1) took the loss.
Angels closer Francisco Rodriguez was activated from the 15-day disabled list prior to the game and he gave up a double and three straight walks in the ninth. But he struck out Juan Uribe to end the game after Uribe had barely missed hitting a grand slam homer on a ball that just went foul.
