Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

HOUSTON, June 1 (UPI) -- Roy Oswalt gave up a lone run over seven innings Wednesday night, boosting Houston to a 4-1 victory over Cincinnati.
Oswalt (6-6) allowed four hits in helping the Astros continue a turnaround by winning for the fourth time in five games. He has never lost in 14 decisions against Cincinnati.
Ramon Ortiz (1-4) took the loss by giving up four runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Lance Berkman put Houston in front for good with a leadoff homer in the fourth. The game ended with Orlando Palmeiro making a spectacular leaping catch at the wall to take a two-run homer away from Adam Dunn.
