MLS: MetroStars 2, Chicago 1

SECAUCUS, N.J., May 31 (UPI) -- A goal by Amado Guevara in extra time Tuesday night gave the MetroStars a 2-1 decision over Chicago.

John Wolyniec also scored for the MetroStars, who overcame a 1-0 deficit to win at home for the first time this season.

Chicago had won its previous two games.

Jesse Marsch scored in the 55th minute for Chicago on a penalty kick. Wolyniec tied it in the 76th minute.

It was the third game between the teams this season and it was the first time the home team won.

Earlier in the day on the same field, England defeated Columbia, 3-2, in an exhibition match.
