MLB: Boston 5, Baltimore 1

BOSTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Wade Miller gave up a run and five hits in seven innings Tuesday night, carrying Boston to a 5-1 victory over Baltimore.

Miller's effort came five days after he had allowed seven runs against Toronto. He improved to 2-1 and was supported by two-hit efforts from Edgar Renteria and David Ortiz.

Baltimore lost for the fourth time in five games despite Brian Roberts hitting in his 20th straight game.

Boston faced a 1-0 deficit in the fifth, but scored four times with Renteria and Ortiz driving in a run each with singles. The loss went to Daniel Cabrera (4-4).
