Portland moved two spots to No. 3.

The lottery dropped the New Orleans Hornets from an expected two spot to No. 4 while the Charlotte Bobcats, the third worst team last season, dropped down to No. 5.

The other lottery positions went as expected. Utah, Toronto, New York, Golden State and the Los Angeles Lakers round out the top 10.

The system of picking the top choices by lottery instead of only their won-lost records went into effect in 1985.
