NBA: Phoenix 114, Dallas 108

PHOENIX, May 18 (UPI) -- Steve Nash had a triple double and teamed with Amare Stoudemire to score 67 points Wednesday night as Phoenix rallied past Dallas, 114-108.

The Suns took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinals and can advance Friday night with a win in Dallas.

The Mavericks held Phoenix to 41 percent shooting in the opening two quarters and took a seven-point halftime lead.

Phoenix then scored the first seven points of the third quarter and dominated the second half -- scoring 66 points. The Suns led by as many as 10 down the stretch.

Nash scored 34 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 12 assists. Stoudemire had 18 rebounds to go with his 33 points.

Dallas was led by 34 points from Dirk Nowitzki and 29 from Jerry Stackhouse.

After struggling to stay with Dallas on the backboards during the series, Phoenix outrebounded the Mavericks, 56-43. The Suns had a 20-14 edge on the offensive glass.
