MLB: Minnesota 5, Texas 2

MINNEAPOLIS, May 15 (UPI) -- Shannon Stewart hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning Sunday to give the Minnesota Twins a 5-2 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Stewart's homer broke a 2-2 tie and made a winner of Minnesota starter Brad Radke (4-3). The veteran righthander went seven innings and allowed two runs on seven hits to earn his third straight win.

Stewart had four RBI for the Twins, who ended a three-game losing streak. Michael Cuddyer added three hits and two runs scored and Nick Punto also had three hits for Minnesota, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Kevin Mench homered and Richard Hidalgo had an RBI for the Rangers, who saw a five-game road win streak end.
