Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 15 (UPI) -- Angel Berroa's inside-the-park home run and Alberto Castillo's two-run triple Sunday gave the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 victory over Tampa Bay.
Tony Graffanino had three hits for the Royals, who won a home series for the first time this year.
Julio Lugo had a two-run single in the ninth that pulled the Devil Rays within one, but Tampa Bay still lost for the fourth time in its last five games.
Mike MacDougal (2-1) was credited with the victory, retiring all four batters he faced in relief of Zack Greinke. The Kansas City starter pitched well in 6 2/3 innings, but remained winless on the season because of a lack of run support.
