Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILTON, Fla., May 14 (UPI) -- Jim Thorpe shot a 6-under 64 Saturday for a 13-under 127 and the second round lead of the seniors' Blue Angels Classic.
Morris Hatalsky, who shared the opening-round lead with Thorpe, had a 65 and is in second place at 12-under 128.
Craig Stadler matched the record for lowest 18-hole score in Champions Tour history with a 60 to move into third place at 11-under 129.
Thorpe, who won his last start at the FedEx Kinko's Classic, was part of a three-way tie after the first round.
Defending champion Tom Jenkins had a 65 to join Dana Quigley, Dick Mast, David Eger, Hugh Baiocchi and Mike Sullivan at 9-under 131.
