CHICAGO, May 10 (UPI) -- The New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs 7-4 Monday in a game twice delayed by rain.
Mike Piazza hit a home run and drove in four runs and Doug Mientkiewicz had a homer and two RBI for the Mets, who won for the seventh time in 10 games.

Michael Barrett belted a three-run homer for the Cubs, who have lost eight of nine.
Reliever Mike DeJean (2-1) was the winner. LaTroy Hawkins (1-4) took the loss, pitching two innings of relief.
