Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CINCINNATI, Okla., May 10 (UPI) -- Sean Casey had three RBI Tuesday to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 5-1 victory over the San Diego Padres.
The Reds overcame an early injury to starting pitcher Brandon Claussen and rebounded from Monday's one-run, 13-inning loss to the Padres.
Five Cincinnati relievers combined to allow just one run over 5 2/3 innings. It was just the third win in the last 14 games for the Reds.
Damian Jackson had a home run for the Padres' lone run.
Brian Lawrence (2-4) suffered the loss after giving up three runs on six hits in six innings.
