MIAMI, May 9 (UPI) -- Miami Dolphins cornerback Will Poole could miss the 2005 season because of a knee injury it was reported Monday.

Poole injured his left knee in practice last week, the Miami Herald said.

The Dolphins did not issue an injury report on Poole, but agent Drew Rosenhaus told Miami television station WSVN the 23-year-old player may have torn a ligament in the knee.

"We think it's pretty significant," Rosenhaus said.

Poole, who was drafted by Miami in the fourth round in 2004, played in 15 games last season, recording 37 tackles and one sack.
