MILAN, Italy, May 8 (UPI) -- Englishman Steve Webster won the Italian Open Sunday, his first victory on the European Tour.

Webster shot a 4-under-par 68 in the final round, finishing at 18-under 270 for a three-shot win.

Richard Finch, Anders Hansen and Bradley Dredge tied for second at 273.

"I always thought I could win and with nine holes to go I was telling myself you are going to win this," Webster said.
