MLB: Minnesota 8, Tampa Bay 1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 7 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Twins erupted for four runs in both the fifth and ninth innings Saturday while pounding the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 8-1.

The Twins have won eight of their last 11 games.

Kyle Lohse (2-2) allowed one run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings in the victory.

Relievers Scott Baker, J.C. Romero, Jesse Crain and Joe Nathan combined on four scoreless innings for Minnesota.

Scott Kazmir (0-4) is still winless after seven starts. He had a no-hitter through four innings but by the time he had pitched seven, he had given up four runs on seven hits and three walks.
