Garcia leads Wachovia by six shots

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 7 (UPI) -- Sergio Garcia had a 5-under 67 Saturday for a six-shot lead through three rounds of the PGA Wachovia Championship.

Garcia's 54-hole total of 12-under 204 was a record for the tournament.

D.J. Trahan posted a 71 and was tied for second at 210 with Jim Furyk (69) and Vijay Singh (71). Nick Price is fifth at 211.

Tiger Woods struggled to a 73 Saturday and at 1-under 215 is 11 strokes back going into Sunday's final round.

Defending champion Joey Sindelar also had a 73. He was tied for sixth at 212 with Greg Owen (71).

Scott Verplank, Dean Wilson, Richard S. Johnson, Kenny Perry and Patrick Sheehan share eighth at 213.
