MLB: St. Louis 7, Cincinnati 3

CINCINNATI, May 4 (UPI) -- Mark Mulder blanked Cincinnati during a seven-inning stint Wednesday night, pacing St. Louis to a 7-3 win over the Reds.

St. Louis recorded a three-game sweep of Cincinnati, which has lost seven in a row. The Cardinals have won 10 of 13.

Mulder (4-1) allowed three singles to win his fourth straight start. He retired the last 13 batters he faced.

Scott Rolen had a two-run homer for St. Louis, Yadier Molina drove in two runs and Mark Grudzielanek went three for four.

Brandon Claussen (1-3) gave up seven runs on 10 hits and lasted just 3 1/3.
