The home run made a winner out of reliever Bob Howry (2-1), who worked two perfect innings. Cleveland starter Kevin Millwood has yet to pick up a win this season.

Bob Wickman got the save despite loading the bases in the bottom of the ninth.

Bard's game-winning blast came off J.C. Romero (0-2).
