BALTIMORE, May 3 (UPI) -- Josh Towers pitched a three-hit shutout over eight innings Tuesday to give the Toronto Blue Jays a 1-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Towers (3-1) also gave up only one walk as Toronto picked up its seventh win in its last eight games.

Loser Daniel Cabrera (1-2) was almost as effectrive as Towers as he gave up one run on four hits and four walks with eight strikeouts.
Baltimore had entered the set riding an eight-game winning streak.
Cabrera didn't allow a hit until the top of the fourth and Towers allowed just two baserunners through the first four innings.
