WASHINGTON, May 2 (UPI) -- The New York Mets scored three runs in the ninth inning Sunday and defeated Washington 6-3.
The game-winning rally included a two-run double by Carlos Beltran, who batted 3-for-5.

The Mets ended a four-game losing streak.
Reliever Roberto Hernandez (2-0) got the win, pitching two innings. Luis Ayala (1-1) took the loss, also in relief.
