SHANGHAI, April 30 (UPI) -- Ernie Els increased his lead to five shots in the BMW Asian Open in Shanghai Saturday with a 4-under-par 68.

Els was at 19-under 197 for three rounds in the event, which is part of the European Tour international schedule.

Simon Wakefield held second place at 202 and Thomas Bjorn was third at 204.

"It's nice to have a lead, but you have to watch out," Els said. "The boys are going to be coming hard and there were a couple of good scores today. I have to play sensibly and aggressive when I can."
