Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, April 23 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson's pitching and Andruw Jones bat played key roles Saturday when the Atlanta Braves posted an 11-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Hudson (2-0), who worked six innings, gave up one run, five hits and three walks.
Andruw Jones hit a three-run homer and Chipper Jones and Brian Jordan each had two RBI for Atlanta, which had 13 hits during its third straight win.
Kenny Lofton had two hits for the Phillies, who have lost four of their last five games.
The Braves scored five runs against Phillies starter Randy Wolf in the first inning. The first six Atlanta runs were charged to Wolf (1-2), who allowed seven hits in four innings.
