Quigley, Coles share lead in Houston Open

HUMBLE, Texas, April 22 (UPI) -- Brett Quigley and Gavin Coles shared the lead Friday at the midway point of the Houston Open.

Quigley fired a 5-under 67 and Coles had a 69, leaving them tied at the top with 134 totals.

Vijay Singh, ranked second in the world and a newly-elected member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, settled for a 71 Friday that left him at 9-under 135.

He was tied for third with Joe Ogilvie, Jeff Maggert and John Daly.

Daly, seeking his second win in as many seasons, fired a 67. He birdied four out of six holes beginning at the fourth.
