Jacksonville U. hires Cliff Warren

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 20 (UPI) -- Cliff Warren, an assistant at Georgia Tech the past five seasons, is the new men's basketball coach at Jacksonville University.

The school announced Warren's hiring Wednesday. He succeeds Hugh Durham, who retired after eight seasons with the Dolphins

Warren, 37, was on Paul Hewitt's staff at Tech and also was an assistant to Hewitt for three seasons at Siena.

Jacksonville was 16-13 overall and 11-9 in the Atlantic Sun Conference this season.
